Introducing the Unofficial Project Wonderful Wiki
Project Wonderful now has an unofficial wiki! You can find it here.
All Project Wonderful Talk members (and remotely-authenticated users from LiveJournal or Blogger.com) can edit the pages and add new ones as they see fit. I've already started adding some information and will continue to do so, but my goal is to recruit each of you to help add, develop, update, refine and enhance the information contained here to make both PW and PWT even easier for newbies to use. Together we can make sure that everybody goes into Project Wonderful with the best chance of making it work! The unofficial Project Wonderful Wiki is powered by DokuWiki. Many thanks must go to the wonderful people at gl Labs for developing such a fine GeekLog integration. Rapid Search update
Project Wonderful Talk's Rapid Search function has been updated. Rapid Search allows you to view Project Wonderful's most useful publisher search results with a single click, and is very useful for catching bargains.
See it in action here, and in the header of each page in the "Buying Advertising" article listing. Unregistered users can now leave comments.
Unregistered users can, for the moment, comment on articles and post in the forum.
If you want to post without an account, you'll be asked to prove you're human with a CAPTCHA test. To remove these bloody annoying little things, create an account for ProjectWonderfulTalk.com or log in using your LiveJournal or Blogger.com account. The reason why CAPTCHA is in here at all is because we've had a handful of spambots sign up - although they haven't posted yet, one day they will. This is just a test run, to see how well it goes. If there's an influx of spam, I'll turn off the anonymous posting ability. If you're a legitimate user and are having problems posting or signing up, please contact me via admin (AT) projectwonderfultalk (DOT) com. Have fun! New "Bid Requests" forum
I added a new forum today, explicitly for people saying "Bid on my site, please!"
It's a sad fact of life that the "Your Ad Here" buttons can't be styled with the rest of the ad box, so they look kinda out-of-place - even more so than actual adverts! It's also a sad fact that there are some websites with very little traffic, who get overlooked by advertisers. But if placing a $0.00 bid gets you a couple of hits to your site, it's worth doing, no? In the new forum, people with "Your Ad Here" on their site can appeal to advertisers to place $0.00 bids on their websites, thus getting rid of the nasty "Your Ad Here" buttons and helping them on their way up the Project Wonderful ladder. See the Forum for more details. (Edit - the Bid Requests forum now has its own RSS feed! Now advertisers can get notification of free advertising opportunities straight away - and publishers can get bids on their ad boxes fast!) |
Have your advertisement earnings gone up or down since the Campaigns system went live?
