Possible effects of a mass-bidding system

We all know now that a mass-bidding system is on the way, because Ryan has said so himself in our interview. Here are some of the possible effects, both positive and negative, of such a system. Please do feel free to comment and add your own, or refute any of the possible effects I've come up with.

Introducing the Unofficial Project Wonderful Wiki

Project Wonderful now has an unofficial wiki! You can find it here.

All Project Wonderful Talk members (and remotely-authenticated users from LiveJournal or Blogger.com) can edit the pages and add new ones as they see fit.

I've already started adding some information and will continue to do so, but my goal is to recruit each of you to help add, develop, update, refine and enhance the information contained here to make both PW and PWT even easier for newbies to use. Together we can make sure that everybody goes into Project Wonderful with the best chance of making it work!

The unofficial Project Wonderful Wiki is powered by DokuWiki. Many thanks must go to the wonderful people at gl Labs for developing such a fine GeekLog integration.

Mass-Bidding Engine - updated

Version 0.11 of the Mass Bidding Engine is now available, and despite only being able to bid on one ad type at a time, it's a damn sight faster and more stable than yesterday's release.

Get the binary, source code and documentation here.

Mass Bidding Software now available in beta

You can find the first release of the unofficial Project Wonderful mass-bidding software here.
If we can find a way to enter the ending date without disabling JavaScript, then this will become much more useful. If anybody knows of a way, feel free to comment.
