How would one put the adbox code in a PHP file?

Is there any modifying one needs to do to the code?

Hi all.

I have just added my site to project wonderful today and was wondering if anyone wants to put an ad there for free. It is a blog charting my journey to the top of the poker ladder.

The skyscrapper is on the side of the site and the 125 x 125 is right at the very top of the site.

Project Wonderful has let me do something I've been unable to do in 10 years - more than cover hosting costs for a personal research site. It all began about 10 weeks ago when someone suggested I look into PW for my primary website http://lowendmac.com/, which is doing nicely at 50,000 pages per day.

http://reformed.net/ is a low traffic site, maybe 500 pages per day, and affiliate ads just weren't doing anything. At the very least I had nothing to lose by trying PW.

Problem is, PW doesn't provide a lot of guidance: are buttons, squares, or skyscrapers the best bet for the side of your page? What's the best number of buttons or squares in an ad box? Do two half banners make more or less than a full banner? Does a leaderboard bring a better return than a banner?

No clue, so start small. Do an ad box with two squares and see what happens. After all, I have nothing to lose. Long story short, it worked. Despite manually approving ads at first (bad idea!), I was soon making a few pennies a day, almost enough to cover $1.99 hosting.

It took some time to update the website so almost all of the pages have the ads, and between that increasing the number of times ads were displayed and switching from manual approval to automatic, things slowly took off. We've had a few bids over the 10� mark. I'm wondering if we might not do even better by going to three ad boxes - and wishing PW would let me change that on the fly.

I added a banner at the bottom of each page 3-4 weeks back, and that's just gone past the 2-4� mark, and this morning I put a leaderboard at the top of each page. We'll see where that goes.

I'm curious what others have found works best: buttons or squares or a skyscraper on the side? Banner vs. two half-banners? And anyone have anything to report yet on the new 300 x 250 rectangle format?

I just got approved into Project Wonderful today, so I am looking for advertisers on my free spots!

For some reason, Project Wonderful is reporting 0 page views for me, however I have been highly-traficked over the past few days because of the sweepstakes I have listed (and posted on sweepstakes sites). I know I've had page views today because I've received many sweepstakes entries today!

Some of us may have better reading comprehension than others...

Anyway, I figure, no harm in letting at least a few "make money quick" sites advertise on my page - I presume the system is working if these folks have the $$ to spend advertising their sites. (Conversely, it could be that the system is failing and so they're willing to spend $$ to get other people to boost their numbers - all the same, I'd rather they spend money on PW than dump it into a scam, hah).

the site is where people bid and pay to advertise on your site and if you have no bids it PPC
untill you do

It seems like in the last couple weeks I've been getting a whole lot of ad bids from "make money with your Web log" Web logs. Anyone else noticed this? It's apparent even here on PWT - the banner above the text box into which I'm typing this message is for a "Make Money With Your Blog" site. In general, although I think such sites tend to be stupid, I'm willing to accept their ads. I did ban one recently because it was advertising a comment-spam software package. It wouldn't take too many like that before I would switch my boxes to approval-required, but I don't want to do that unless forced.

Many of them seem to be associated with some kind of link-exchange thing called Entrecard; I get the impression that Entrecard users all read each others' sites and so once one of them caught on to the idea of Project Wonderful, it started spreading virally through their user base. Other than that all I know about Entrecard is that it seems to have a whole lot of "Internet business" hustlers involved with it.

All this doom and gloom talk contradict my revenues growth on projectwonderful.

I alway make more money than last month in the 7 month I been with ProjectWonderful, without fail.

In fact, there seem to be more demand for ads boxes and scaling is needed to capture these profits.
